Operation Turntables: Rocking the CDC’s World in Spokane, WA-8/29/09

by Rebecca Campbell

Spokane County Public Health Building.

In the surreally bizarre architecture of the Spokane County Pubic Health Building,
form appropriately follows function. (I leave the meaning of this comment to your
own powers of observation and conjecture!)

This is where we two health freedom activists from Seattle, Washington reported for
the US Center for Disease Control’s (CDC’s) ”Public Engagement Forum” in Spokane,
Washington on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 9:00 AM.

Upon signing in and joining our assigned groups, it became apparent that the CDC was
using the Delta Technique (read “Deltoid Technique” for mind muscling/muzzling!) a
pseudemocratic group process developed in the Soviet Union during the latter part of
the 20th century:

1)  No one was allowed consistent access to the microphones except CDC “medical
experts” and Keystone (Cops) Events coordination contractors;

2)  There was virtually no time allowed for participants to confer with each other,
even at lunch, which was spent working in small groups;

3)  Dissenters were separated from the larger group and subjected to constant
surveillance/lectures from CDC “medical experts”/Keystone Cops circulating between
the small groups;

4)  All questions were framed to conform to the CDC agenda of legitimizing their
vaccine pogrom;

5)  No cameras/tape recorders were allowed in the small group sessions where the
real action occurred;

6)  I was told at the outset that I would not be permitted to hand out my subversive
literature to anyone at the conference because it would be violating “social
etiquette” (?!).

It soon became evident that six out of eight members of my own small group were
health freedom activists, and the other two women, one a nurse, were receptive to
our ideas.  We were called, synchronistically, Group No. 6, apparently in honor of
the freedom-loving rebel ”Prisoner No. 6″ in Patrick McGoohan’s classic BBC
television series, The Prisoner!

When the CDC “medical experts” found this out, their Keystone Cops told us that we
would be separated from the rest of the group during the small group sessions and
banished to the chaotic, noisy outer lobby, where they obviously thought it would be
harder for us to focus and carry on audible dissenting dialogue.  They also assigned
us a loud, voluble, control-oriented female facilitator seemingly hostile to our
views.

The CDC began the event with a suitable dog-and-pony show that featured, among
other nuggets of fools’ gold, a half-hour propaganda video with a numbingly wooden
female CDC physician from which we learned the following:

o  That the WHO/CDC’s latest designation for the H1N1 flu virus was
the “Novel H1N1 Influenze Virus”; this is appropriate, since much of what the
WHO/CDC tells us about it is fiction;

o  That they consider the “Novel H1N1 Virus” unparalleled in its ability to
shapeshift; here the WHO/CDC is being unduly modest, as their ability to shapeshift
their definition of pandemic also falls in this same world-class league;

o  That they considered these “Public Engagement Forums” to be “kitchen table
discussions”. This was questionable, since the WHO/CDC leave so much off the table,
while having so much going on underneath!

We were then gifted with a presentation by a  CDC “communications specialist”:  a
noticeably blonde young woman, who could not accurately read her cue cards, and a
local female public health official/physician who told us that “the
government intends take care of (us)”, whereupon I broke into resounding
laughter, pounded my fist on the table and exclaimed, “You sure as hell do!”,
occasioning further mirth in many of those assembled.  This did not include,
however, the CDC handlers or Keystone Cops, who looked visibly agitated.

The grand finale to the opening festivities also featured another CDC
official/physician/older white male authority figure who informed us with a straight
face that mercury has not been found to be toxic when added to vaccines as a
preservative, to which I retorted, “That’s a lie!”, causing further murmuring
throughout the audience of approximately one hundred participants.

As the small group sessions bagan, Group No. 6 moved was banished into the
lobby’s outer darkness, where there was soon weeping and gnashing of teeth.  This
did not, however, come from Group No. 6, but from the CDC “medical experts” and
Keysone Cops assigned to constantly surveille/double-team us as we debated them
during the small group session to put them repeatedly in rapid retreat.

I had memorized all of the pertinent facts, dates and names involved in the CDC’s
Simpsonwood Conference in Norcross, GA in June 2000, wherein 52
officials/representatives of the CDC, WHO, the Institute of Medicine of the US
National Academy of Sciences (IOM/NAS) and pharmaceutical cartels conspired as to
how they could most effectively suppress all of the numerous devastating reports
implicating vaccines in epidemics of all kinds both in recent times and in the
distant past, particularly autism in children.

I kept coolly pulling up fact after fact that they could neither refute nor respond
to without inciminating themselves.  Karen, the libertarian rancher, played dumb
like a fox and kept acting like she was confused, asking the same unanswered
questions over and over again with theme and variations, while Larry and Danny kept
bringing up the evidence of criminal intent against Baxter from Jane
Burgermeister’s court case, which they continued to ignore at their imperiously
impervious peril.

Meanwhile, the CDC’s supposedly bright idea of isolating us in the lobby had badly
backfired:  everybody and their brother and sister was walking by to and from the
restrooms and to lunch, lingering to listen as we cut apart our controllers in the
ongoing debate that raged throughout the two-hour small group period!

They heard me clearly ask how, in a tax payer-financed public event taking place in
a tax payer-financed public building, the CDC controllers and their Keystone Cops
could justify violating my First Amendment right to distribute public information
about vaccinations.  They then also heard the CDC controllers quickly back off from
this position, telling me I could distribute my subversive literature as long as I
personally passed it out, rather than leaving it out on a table, which I immediately
proceeded to do when we rejoined the larger group.

Moreover, it was becoming apparent that our initially hostile facilitator was
beginning to take up our side in the way she was recording our opinions to report
back during the plenary session later in the afternoon!

During the report-back portion of the final plenary, our facilitator did indeed do
an excellent job sympathetically announcing our opposition to vaccines, as well as
to the CDC’s attempts to manipulate group process and the framing of questions at
this forum!

This was followed by the CDC attempting to distract us their latest miniaturized
computer toys:  playing card-sized voting keypads, with which we were to answer
their narrowly framed questions using a process of faux-populist run-off rather than
binary type of voting on deliberately narrowly-framed questions.

During this vote, Group No. 6 laughed, cheered and high-fived with delight as we
watched those holding the position of “no vaccines at all” mount from 20% to 26% to
29% to 32% to 36% — all to the obvious dismay of our CDC/Keystone Cop controllers!

After this auspicious US government-sponsored event concluded, I was surrounded by
approximately 20 healthcare freedom activists from this forum, who invited our
two-person Seattle delegation out to coffee at a nearby Perkins Pancake House,
where, after pushing four large tables together, we organized a EFV Network for
Washington State during an impromptu two-hour meeting!

This was all the more remarkable, as the vast majority of those present were not
independent green progressive esoteric Christians like our two-person Seattle
delegation, but libertarian/traditionally conservative pentecostal Christians/”Ron
Paul for President” supporters with whom we shared an overriding common belief in
human freedom, thus tending to prove Jesus’ little-understood or heeded maxim of
principled pragmatism, “They who are not against us are with us.”

Also remarkable was the fact that our waitress also requested some of our subversive
literature before we all adjourned to go our separate ways early on that gloriously
sunny Saturday evening!

The moral of this brief tale seems to be that positive, principled action coupled
with a sense of humor to keep it in perspective, can have a powerful effect against
the forces of evil in this world, for it taps the two things that evil cannot
endure: exposure and ridicule.

All of us need to remember this as we face the turbulent times now upon us on this
planet.
