Libertarian-leaning congressman Ron Paul is urging voters to reject John McCain and Barack Obama and support one of the third-party candidates for president.
Paul, a Republican who abandoned his White House bid earlier this year, is gathering some of the candidates, independent Ralph Nader among them, on Wednesday to make his plea.
“The strongest message can be sent by rejecting the two party system,” Paul said in prepared remarks obtained by The Associated Press. “This can be accomplished by voting for one of the non-establishment, principled candidates.” He recommended Chuck Baldwin of the Constitution Party, former Georgia Republican Rep. Bob Barr of the Libertarian Party, former Georgia Democratic Rep. Cynthia McKinney of the Green Party and possibly others. He invited them to his news conference Wednesday.

Today at the Republican National Convention, as the Ron Paul Delegates were taking a picture in front of the model White House inside the Convention Center, they were surrounded by Secret Service which proceeded to search the bags of all the delegates. They took any and everything related to Ron Paul including signs, buttons, videos, slim jims, cards, even books.
Alternate Delegate Dennis Rothacker from Florida said “We were done taking the picture when Secret Service started walking into the room and surrounded us. There were about 30 of them. When they searched my bags they took my Ron Paul sign and turned a deaf ear to my complains, they just walked away.”
At the Ron Paul Rally for the Republic held at the Target Center in St. Paul, Minnesota a few blocks from the Republican National Convention, former Governor of Minnesota Jesse Ventura questioned 9/11 to a crowd of nearly 10,000 people and received an overwhelmingly positive response.
“I’m going to move on to another subject that a lot of people don’t want to discuss today,” he said, “I know when I discuss it, it’s amazing, I get attacked!” The crowd listened intently as he went on, “And that’s something called 9/11!” The crowd erupted into spontaneous applause. Ventura continued and discussed the fact that on the FBI’s most wanted terrorist page, Osama bin Laden is not wanted for 9/11. He asked why expressed disgust with the Bush Administration’s stonewalling any investigation into the attacks.

Ron Paul Talks With Jay Leno on Oct. 30, 2007
Remember, Remember,
This 5th of November,
The patriot money-bomb plot.
For Ron Paul’s the reason,
That this campaign season,
We’re giving it all that we’ve got.
Send one hundred dollars,
And tell talk show callers,
To answer sweet liberty’s call.
Remember, Remember,
This 5th of November,
Give one hundred bucks to Ron Paul.

Ron Paul has won every single Republican debate poll, online or text message based. Some try to imply hacking is responsible (if so, there should be an investigation) or that supporters go out and buy 100s of cell phones each.
