George Washinton’s Blog
A former senior advisor to the U.S. Treasury and highly-regarded economics professor, Nouriel Roubini, says that Washington’s bail outs are “socialism for the rich, the well connected and Wall Street; it is . . . a corrupt system where profits are privatized and losses are socialized.”
In fact, this is a quintessential characteristic of economies run by fascist regimes.
For example, historian Gaetano Salvemini argued in 1936 that fascism makes taxpayers responsible to private enterprise, because “the State pays for the blunders of private enterprise… Profit is private and individual. Loss is public and social” (page 416).
Why?
Well, remember that one of the best definitions of fascism is the “merger of state and corporate power“.

In an unprecedented move, the Fed and the International Swaps and Derivatives Association allowed derivatives trading today, on a Sunday, to “reduce risk associated with a potential Lehman . . . bankruptcy.”
Lehman holds $ 800 billion in derivatives.
As the very even-keeled and level-headed chief executive of Pimco, the world’s biggest bond fund, said:
“This is an extremely, and I stress extremely, rare event. It also speaks to the more general notion that, in today’s highly disrupted financial markets, the unthinkable is thinkable.”
What is the “unthinkable” he’s referring to?
Another great depression. Perhaps even a world-wide depression.
To see why derivatives are the key to the financial crisis in the U.S. and the world, and why the Fed allowed derivatives trading today, read this.

First it was the “new phenomenon” of “thermal expansion”.
Now, Sergei Dudarev, of the UK Atomic Energy Agency, says the Twin Towers collapsed due to “unusual magnetic forces“.
Specifically, as described by the BBC, Mr. Dudarev argues that:
“The peak in this pliability is at 911.5C, but begins at much lower temperatures, at around 500C (932F) - a temperature often reached during building fires.
The steel backbone of the Twin Towers was probably exposed to temperatures close to this, when insulating panels - meant to protect the buildings’ structural frame - were dislodged by the impacts of the hijacked planes.
The roaring fire mid-way up the building heated the steel struts, and once temperatures rose above 500C the structure became elastic, and collapsed under the force of the floors above.”
Is he right?

If you’re looking for a story for the 7th anniversary of 9/11, you can interview one of the following people:
But you just want to cover nonsensical stories of McCain and Obama threatening to “get” Osama Bin Laden and fight the “war on terror”more effectively, don’t you? Oh well, that’s why your company is losing viewers and readers … people want real news!

Facing a new reversal in federal court, the Bush administration is finding its options narrowed in its effort to stop congressional testimony from former White House counsel Harriet Miers and chief of staff Joshua Bolten regarding the firing of nine U.S. attorneys in 2006.
The administration had asserted a blanket claim of executive privilege in the face of congressional subpoenas, but U.S. District Judge John Bates rejected that claim as unprecedented and, on Tuesday, denied the Justice Department’s request for a stay pending an appeal.
Under the ruling, Miers and Bolten now must appear before the House Judiciary Committee to testify about the White House role in the firings and produce documents sought by the committee.

NIST Claims “New Phenomenon” Occurred For First Time Ever In Collapse Of WTC 7 Yet fails to address why ground zero workers and media outlets had prior knowledge of an “extraordinary event” never before observed an hour in advance, plus myriad of other ignored issues.
Paul Joseph Watson | InfoWars.com
In its final report on the collapse of WTC 7 that news outlets are reporting “puts 9/11 conspiracy theories to bed,” NIST claims that the never before observed “new phenomenon” of “thermal expansion” was to blame for the destruction of the building, a completely ludicrous conclusion in a report that simply ignores eyewitness testimony and hard evidence that points to the deliberate demolition of the structure.
NIST completely fails to address prior knowledge of the building’s collapse, including why news outlets like the BBC and CNN reported that the building had collapsed an hour before it actually fell, as well as firefighters on the scene who are heard on video saying, “Keep your eye on that building, it’ll be coming down soon.”
If the collapse of WTC 7 came as a result of a “new phenomenon” and an “extraordinary event” that had never happened before in the history of building collapses, then why did news stations and ground zero workers know it was about to happen a hour or more in advance?

The FBI has admitted that it has no case against Ivins.
As summarized in an article today in the Washington Post:
The FBI has had a difficult time making its case to a skeptical public and scientific community. A hair sample snagged from a Princeton, N.J., mailbox linked to the attacks turned out not to match that of Ivins.
Some Congressional critics have questioned whether one man could really have carried out the elaborate attacks.
But FBI officials continue to press their case.
“I don’t think we’re ever going to be able to put the suspicions to bed,” said Vahid Majidi of the FBI Weapons of Mass Destruction Directorate. “There’s always going to be a spore on the grassy knoll.“
This is very telling.
The FBI could have said ”we will prove to Congress, the scientific community and the public that only Ivins could have done it”.
But they didn’t.
Instead, the FBI is trying to discredit the many top anthrax scientists who question the government’s case against Ivins by using the “grassy knoll” conspiracy-theory smear.
If they had a case against Ivins, they would have presented it, instead of resorting to Bill O’Reilly style smear tactics.

You may have heard that the Energy Task Force chaired by Dick Cheney prior to 9/11 collected maps of Iraqi oil, Saudi and United Arab Emerates fields and potential suitors for that oil. And you might have heard that the oil bigs attended the Task Force meetings. But you probably haven’t heard that a secret document written by the National Security Council (NSC) on February 3, 2001 directed NSC staff to cooperate fully with the Energy Task Force as it considered the“melding” of two seemingly unrelated areas of policy:
“the review of operational policies towards rogue states,” such as Iraq, and “actions regarding the capture of new and existing oil and gas fields”.
It is difficult to brush off Cheney’s Energy Task Force’s examination of arab oil maps as a harmless comparison of American energy policy with known oil reserves because the NSC explicitly linked the Task Force, oil, and regime change.Indeed, a former senior director for Russian, Ukrainian, and Eurasian affairs at the NSC said:
“if this little group was discussing geostrategic plans for oil, it puts the issue of war in the context of the captains of the oil industry sitting down with Cheney and laying grand, global plans”.

9/11 family member and “Jersey Girl” Patty Casazza has just revealed that whistleblowers told her that — before 9/11 — the government knew the exact day, the type of attack, and the targets.
Why is this important? Because, previously, some of the best-known whistleblowers have been willing to give only vague information about the government’s foreknowledge. For example, they said only that the government knew of the general timeframe for the attacks, or that the government had a list of potential targets, on which the World Trade Center was one of many potential targets (of course, other whistleblowers have been more specific).
