NTSB: No Records Pertaining To Process Of Positive Identification Of 9/11 Aircraft Wreckage

23 07 2008

Within a July 18, 2008 Freedom of Information Act response from the National Transportation Safety Board, the NTSB indicates that it possesses no records indicating how wreckage recovered from the 4 aircraft used during the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 was positively identified as belonging to the 4 planes reportedly hijacked that day or even if such wreckage was positively identified at all.

View FOIA response.

Within a similar March 18, 2008 FOIA response from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the FBI states the following:

“The identity of the three hijacked aircraft has never been in question by the FBI, NTSB or FAA”

7/7 Mastermind Allegedly Worked for British Intelligence, Deena Burnett – Additions to the 9/11 Timeline as of July 20, 2008

22 07 2008

Visit History Commons 9-11 Timeline ( originally Cooperative Research)

Most of the new entries in the 9/11 Timeline this week are about the 7/7 London bombings, and in particular the alleged mastermind, Haroon Rashid Aswat. Aswat recruited militant fighters in London in the late 1990s, when his activities were known to British intelligence. He also attempted to set up terrorist training camps in the US, but the Justice Department blocked his indictment on these charges in 2002. He was falsely thought to have been killed in Afghanistan in 2003, monitored meeting the leaders of another British plot in 2004, and the British prevented the US from capturing him in South Africa in 2005.

He called the bombers shortly before the attacks, and the US may have monitored these calls. Some reports, apparently incorrect, said he had been arrested in Pakistan following the bombings, although he was actually captured in Zambia shortly after, at which point the British authorities showed a surprising lack of interest in him. A counterterrorism expert then said he had been a long-term British intelligence asset, and the British failed to charge him upon his return to Britain, although a British court approved his extradition to the US in 2006.

N.Y. Area Donors Needed Now For 9/11 Hero

16 07 2008

Blood Platelets are desperately needed to help Greg fight his Leukemia. Please call North Shore Hospital and indicate that you wish to donate your blood for Greg Quibell.

For more information, please contact us at feal@aol.com orAR1CB2@aol.com

What are Platelets?Platelets are blood cells that help control bleeding. When a blood vessel is damaged, platelets collect at the site of the injury and temporarily repair the tear. Platelets then activate substances in plasma which form a clot and allow the wound to heal.Because platelets can be stored for only five days, the need for platelet donations is vast and continuous.

In order to donate, you must be at least 17-years-old, be in good health, weigh at least 110 pounds and not have taken aspirin or medication containing aspirin 48 hours prior to donating.

The Third Tower - A Critical Review

9 07 2008

911blogger.com

On July 6, 2008, BBC released a documentary examining the collapse of World Trade Center 7, on September 11, 2001. The film purported to “solve the final mystery” of 9/11 in regards to whether the collapse of the building was due to fire or controlled demolition. The film used interviews of people from both sides of the argument, as well as stock footage and reconstructions to show the viewer the cases to be made for each theory. This is the second film the BBC has created on the subject of alternative theories of 9/11.

The film is highly charged and controversial, with emotions running deep. In this review I will attempt to remove the emotional side of the film and simply look at the facts and opinions offered, their validity, and the BBC’s attempt to make a “balanced” film.

Act I

The film opens with a quick introduction that thrusts the viewer into the chaos of 9/11 - the plane impacts and subsequent destruction of the World Trade Center towers that we are all familiar with. But in a rare event, the BBC finally choose to now focus their attention on the little known collapse of World Trade Center 7, almost a decade after the fact. Up until this point in time, WTC7 has largely been ignored in the media - with very small clips here and there, but never telling the whole story. In fact in its previous film, the BBC discussed WTC7 as a small side event and dismissed the controlled demolition claim purely on the word of a Popular Mechanics researcher. Now the BBC has returned and vows to do justice to the subject.

Just when you thought you’ve heard it all…

A senior government official with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has expressed great interest in a so-called safety bracelet that would serve as a stun device, similar to that of a police Taser®. According to this promotional video found at the Lamperd Less Lethal, Inc. website, the bracelet would be worn by all airline passengers.

The Top Ten Connections Between NIST and Nano-Thermites by Kevin Ryan

5 07 2008

Kevin R. Ryan | Journalof911Studies.com

pdf of this article from Journal of 9/11 Studies

“Was the steel tested for explosives or thermite residues? … NIST did not test for the residue of these compounds in the steel.”
NIST Responses to FAQs, August 2006

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has had considerable difficulty determining a politically correct sequence of events for the unprecedented destruction of three World Trade Center (WTC) buildings on 9/11 (Douglas 2006, Ryan 2006, Gourley 2007). But despite a number of variations in NIST’s story, it never considered explosives or pyrotechnic materials in any of its hypotheses. This omission is at odds with several other striking facts; first, the requirement of the national standard for fire investigation (NFPA 921), which calls for testing related to thermite and other pyrotechnics, and second, the extensive experience NIST investigators have with explosive and thermite materials.

One of the most intriguing aspects of NIST’s diversionary posture has been their total lack of interest in explosive or pyrotechnic features in their explanations. Despite the substantial evidence for the use of explosives at the WTC (Jones 2006, Legge and Szamboti 2007), and the extensive expertise in explosives among NIST investigators (Ryan 2007), explosives were never considered in the NIST WTC investigation. Only after considerable criticism of this fact did NIST deign to add one small disclaimer to their final report on the towers, suggesting they found no evidence for explosives.

Cheney and the Oil Bigs Planned U.S. War Policy Before 9/11

4 07 2008

George Washington’s Blog

You may have heard that the Energy Task Force chaired by Dick Cheney prior to 9/11 collected maps of Iraqi oil, Saudi and United Arab Emerates fields and potential suitors for that oil. And you might have heard that the oil bigs attended the Task Force meetings. But you probably haven’t heard that a secret document written by the National Security Council (NSC) on February 3, 2001 directed NSC staff to cooperate fully with the Energy Task Force as it considered the“melding” of two seemingly unrelated areas of policy:

“the review of operational policies towards rogue states,” such as Iraq, and “actions regarding the capture of new and existing oil and gas fields”

It is difficult to brush off Cheney’s Energy Task Force’s examination of arab oil maps as a harmless comparison of American energy policy with known oil reserves because the NSC explicitly linked the Task Force, oil, and regime change.Indeed, a former senior director for Russian, Ukrainian, and Eurasian affairs at the NSC said:

if this little group was discussing geostrategic plans for oil, it puts the issue of war in the context of the captains of the oil industry sitting down with Cheney and laying grand, global plans”.

9/11 Illnesses Get Worse

3 07 2008

SUSAN EDELMAN | NYPost.com

Of 10,000 Ground Zero workers suing the city, medical records show 67 percent suffer respiratory ailments and 45 percent have a gastrointestinal disease, their lawyers claim.

The numbers, filed in court last night, aim to rebut the city’s argument that 30 percent have “only nominal injuries” and that serious claims are not proven.

The lawyers say they’re still collecting records from Mount Sinai Hospital, which has treated thousands of 9/11 responders.

“As information continues to be received, there is a clear picture that these plaintiffs’ conditions are tending to get worse, not better,” the lawyers say.

Is Osama bin Laden Dying … Again?

1 07 2008

MASSIMO CALABRESI | Time.com

Which is closer to dying: Osama bin Laden or the CIA’s effort to catch him? Nothing has characterized the fruitlessness of the hunt for the al-Qaeda leader so much as the recurrent — and mostly inaccurate — reports that he is seriously ailing, or even at death’s door. In 2002, Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf said bin Laden had kidney disease, and that he had required a dialysis machine when he lived in Afghanistan. That same year, the FBI’s top counterterrorism official, Dale Watson, said, “I personally think he is probably not with us anymore.” Since then, of course, bin Laden has appeared on multiple videos looking healthier than ever.

Now the CIA has produced a report saying that bin Laden has long-term kidney disease and may have only months to live, two U.S. officials familiar with the report told TIME. The agency ostensibly managed to get the names of some of the medications bin Laden is taking. One U.S. official familiar with the report, which came out between six and nine months ago, says it concluded, “Based on his current pharmaceutical intake, [we] would expect that he has no more than six to 18 months to live and impending kidney failure.”

Rebuilding at 9/11 Site Runs Late, Report Says

1 07 2008

Charles V Bagley | NewYorkTimes.com

At the World Trade Center site, the memorial to the people who died on Sept. 11, 2001, will not be open to the public in time for the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attack, as had been previously announced.

The $2.5 billion PATH station and transit hub nearby are not only behind schedule and over budget, but the final design is not even finished.
On the south side of the site, the demolition of the Deutsche Bank tower will not be completed until sometime next year, at least 14 months behind schedule.

For at least a year, some officials involved in the rebuilding effort have hinted that delays for any one of the 26 separate but interrelated projects on the 16 acres were compounding. But on Monday, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which owns the site, issued a 34-page report listing the site’s problems, saying, “The schedule and cost for each of the public projects on the site face significant delays and cost overruns.”

Is White House Blocking Search for Bin Laden?

30 06 2008

Pentagon Would Use Special Forces to Nab Bin Laden in Pakistan, New York Times Says

MARTHA RADDATZ |ABCNews.com

The Pentagon has drafted a secret plan that would send U.S. special forces into the wild tribal regions of Pakistan to capture or kill Osama bin Laden and his top lieutenants, but the White House has balked at giving the mission a green light, The New York Times reported today.

The Bush administration, which has seven months left in its term, gave the go-ahead for the military to draw up the plan to take the war on terror across the Afghan border and into the mountains of Pakistan where bin Laden is believed to be hiding, according to the newspaper.

Intelligence reports have concluded that bin Laden has re-established a network of new training camps, and the number of recruits in those camps has risen to as many as 2,000 in recent months from 200 earlier this year.

Although the special forces attack plan was devised six months ago, infighting among U.S. intelligence agencies and among White House offices have blocked it from being implemented, the Times reported.

The Bush team would like to leave office next January having put bin Laden, the man behind the Sept. 11 attacks, behind bars or in his grave.

US to get access to UK citizens personal files - bank details, visited websites, salaries…

30 06 2008

Daniel Martin | DailyMail.co.uk

American intelligence agencies may soon be able to access the most private and personal details of British citizens.

Under an agreement being negotiated between the EU and Washington., U.S. agencies including the CIA will be allowed to view details of bank accounts, travel plans and even the sites individuals visit on the internet.

A secret document giving details of the agreement has been leaked to the New York

The deal will make it easier for American law enforcement organisations to obtain private information from banks, credit card firms and other companies - as well as from government offices.

In the past, companies handing over such details ran the risk of breaching European data protection laws. But these laws are expected to be relaxed under the new agreement.

American security organisations insist the information is necessary to prevent further atrocities such as 9/11.

The Post-9/11 Afghan Heroin Explosion

27 06 2008

From American Drug War
The War on Drugs. The War on Terror. Narco-Terrorism.

Prior to 9/11, the poppy production levels in Afghanistan were at a low and many of the Taliban were against heroin and the poppies. However, since U.S. forces entered after 9/11, the poppy crop has skyrocketed. The UN released a report saying that the six-year boom has lead to the Afghan crop being responsible for 92% of the world’s heroin trade. With Homeland Security and the War on Terror, it’s amazing that the drug still gets into the USA, one of it’s strongest marketplaces.

Afghanistan drug trade hits $4 billion a year

Gov’t Says FBI Agents Can’t Testify About 9/11

26 06 2008

AP | International Herald Tribune

Government lawyers say the ongoing investigation into the Sept. 11 attacks could be compromised if the airline industry is allowed to seek more information from the FBI to defend itself against lawsuits brought by terrorism victims.

In papers filed late Tuesday, the government urged a judge to block aviation companies from interviewing five FBI employees who the companies say will help them prove the government withheld key information before the 2001 attacks.

The lawyers said it would be impossible to interview the employees without disclosing classified or privileged material that could “cause serious damage to national security and interfere with pending law enforcement proceedings.”

“The harm described is not hypothetical and cannot be lightly dismissed,” according to the court papers submitted by the office of U.S. Attorney Michael Garcia. “Investigators continue to seek out those parties responsible for the 9/11 attacks who remain at large.”

Midwest Pilot Almost Hit Plane On 9/11

25 06 2008

AP | WTMJ 4 NBC

Midwest Airlines pilot Gerald Earwood was flying about 100 miles west of New York when he first noticed what seemed like wisps of smoke coming off the World Trade Center.

Roughly 15 minutes later, Earwood and co-pilot Eric Fjelstad were frantically maneuvering their DC-9 jet to avoid colliding with United Airlines Flight 175, the second airplane to hit the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001. Their work, following orders from air traffic controllers, saved the lives of about 30 passengers and five crew members of Midwest Flight 7.

A minute or so later, United 175 — which also came close to colliding with other planes that morning — struck the south tower of the World Trade Center.

A collision between United 175, flying out of Boston, and the Midwest jet, flying from Milwaukee to New York’s LaGuardia Airport, “would have changed history,” Earwood said this week in an interview with the Journal Sentinel, his first newspaper interview about the incident.

Bodies in WTC 7: Jennings Interview Demolishes Official Version

23 06 2008

Kurt Nimmo | Infowars

The Barry Jennings interview with an introduction by Jason Bermas. The clip here will appear in Bermas’ upcoming documentary, Fabled Enemies.

It is obvious watching the BBC’s trailer of its “The Conspiracy Files: 9/11 - The Third Tower,” set to air on Sunday, 6 July, that “Auntie Beeb” will attempt to make it appear Building 7 at the WTC complex came down as a result of fire (see trailer below). In other words, it appears the BBC will push — and defend — the government explanation hastily cooked up after attention was focused on the mysterious collapse by researchers, a collapse diligently ignored by the 9/11 Commission in its final report, or that is to say its final whitewash.

The BBC interviewed Dylan Avery, writer and director of the documentary “Loose Change,” and during the interview the BBC disputed Avery’s claim that there were dead bodies in the lobby of Building 7 as the result of an explosion prior to the collapse of either WTC buildings. In order to make his point, Dylan showed the BBC video footage of one Barry Jennings, the New York City Housing Authority worker who made the claim of dead bodies strewn in the rubble. The Jennings interview included here was to appear in Loose Change, but Mr. Jennings had reservations after receiving threatening phone calls. He was worried about losing his job and requested the interview not be included.

Bolton Trying to Stop U.N. Official Who Wants Probe of 9-11 ‘Inside Job’ Theories

20 06 2008

Joseph Abrams | FoxNews.com

Critics are calling for the resignation of a U.N. official who publicly supports investigating theories that the Sept. 11 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon were an “inside job.”

Richard Falk, the special rapporteur on human rights in the Palestinian territories, investigates alleged Israeli violations of human rights law for the U.N.’s Human Rights Council.

But the former Princeton professor would also like to investigate whether “some sort of controlled explosion from within” destroyed the Twin Towers, he told FOXNews.com.

“I do think there are questions that haven’t been answered, questions about the way the buildings collapsed and the failure to heed a variety of signals that there was danger coming,” Falk said.

“I think [his beliefs are] fruitcake city, but among many delegations to the U.N. it’s probably the conventional wisdom,” said John Bolton, a former U.S. ambassador to the U.N. known for his straight talk on U.N. hypocrisy.
