Which is closer to dying: Osama bin Laden or the CIA’s effort to catch him? Nothing has characterized the fruitlessness of the hunt for the al-Qaeda leader so much as the recurrent — and mostly inaccurate — reports that he is seriously ailing, or even at death’s door. In 2002, Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf said bin Laden had kidney disease, and that he had required a dialysis machine when he lived in Afghanistan. That same year, the FBI’s top counterterrorism official, Dale Watson, said, “I personally think he is probably not with us anymore.” Since then, of course, bin Laden has appeared on multiple videos looking healthier than ever.

Now the CIA has produced a report saying that bin Laden has long-term kidney disease and may have only months to live, two U.S. officials familiar with the report told TIME. The agency ostensibly managed to get the names of some of the medications bin Laden is taking. One U.S. official familiar with the report, which came out between six and nine months ago, says it concluded, “Based on his current pharmaceutical intake, [we] would expect that he has no more than six to 18 months to live and impending kidney failure.”

Government lawyers say the ongoing investigation into the Sept. 11 attacks could be compromised if the airline industry is allowed to seek more information from the FBI to defend itself against lawsuits brought by terrorism victims.

In papers filed late Tuesday, the government urged a judge to block aviation companies from interviewing five FBI employees who the companies say will help them prove the government withheld key information before the 2001 attacks.

The lawyers said it would be impossible to interview the employees without disclosing classified or privileged material that could “cause serious damage to national security and interfere with pending law enforcement proceedings.”

“The harm described is not hypothetical and cannot be lightly dismissed,” according to the court papers submitted by the office of U.S. Attorney Michael Garcia. “Investigators continue to seek out those parties responsible for the 9/11 attacks who remain at large.”

It is obvious watching the BBC’s trailer of its “The Conspiracy Files: 9/11 - The Third Tower,” set to air on Sunday, 6 July, that “Auntie Beeb” will attempt to make it appear Building 7 at the WTC complex came down as a result of fire (see trailer below). In other words, it appears the BBC will push — and defend — the government explanation hastily cooked up after attention was focused on the mysterious collapse by researchers, a collapse diligently ignored by the 9/11 Commission in its final report, or that is to say its final whitewash.

The BBC interviewed Dylan Avery, writer and director of the documentary “Loose Change,” and during the interview the BBC disputed Avery’s claim that there were dead bodies in the lobby of Building 7 as the result of an explosion prior to the collapse of either WTC buildings. In order to make his point, Dylan showed the BBC video footage of one Barry Jennings, the New York City Housing Authority worker who made the claim of dead bodies strewn in the rubble. The Jennings interview included here was to appear in Loose Change, but Mr. Jennings had reservations after receiving threatening phone calls. He was worried about losing his job and requested the interview not be included.

Critics are calling for the resignation of a U.N. official who publicly supports investigating theories that the Sept. 11 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon were an “inside job.”

Richard Falk, the special rapporteur on human rights in the Palestinian territories, investigates alleged Israeli violations of human rights law for the U.N.’s Human Rights Council.

But the former Princeton professor would also like to investigate whether “some sort of controlled explosion from within” destroyed the Twin Towers, he told FOXNews.com.

“I do think there are questions that haven’t been answered, questions about the way the buildings collapsed and the failure to heed a variety of signals that there was danger coming,” Falk said.

“I think [his beliefs are] fruitcake city, but among many delegations to the U.N. it’s probably the conventional wisdom,” said John Bolton, a former U.S. ambassador to the U.N. known for his straight talk on U.N. hypocrisy.

During an informal interview in 2007, incidentally, Mineta reaffirmed that Cheney was already there when he arrived in the PEOC, saying “absolutely.”  When he was told that the Commission had said that Cheney did not arrive
until 9:58, Mineta expressed surprise and said: “Oh no, no, no; I don’t know how that came about.” Although Mineta said he “might have been mistaken on the 9:25,” he said that Cheney was definitely there before the Pentagon was
struck, and “so was Mrs. Cheney.”

While we are remembering Tim Russert and his years as moderator of “Meet the Press,” we would do well to recall his interview with Vice President Dick Cheney at Camp David on September 16, 2001, just five days after the 9/11 attacks.1 In fact, Cheney himself, during an interview with NBC’s Matt Lauer the morning after Russert died, reminded us of that Camp David interview, saying: “I always, when I think of Tim and think of ‘Meet the Press,’ that’s the show that always comes to mind. . . . It was a remarkable moment in American history.”2  

Commenting that he himself “remember[ed] that interview vividly,” Lauer asked: “Anything stand out from that interview?” In his reply, Cheney said: “We went back and reminisced to some extent about what had actually happened on the morning of 9/11. So it was—it was a remarkable moment in my career.”3 

It was indeed. In reminiscing about his movements that morning, Cheney contradicted what was to become a crucial element of the account that the 9/11 Commission would give of those movements.  

In praising Russert’s tenure on “Meet the Press,” Cheney said: “He would ask you tough questions, he would remind you of quotes you made previously in other settings or on earlier shows, so you never got away with anything going up vis-à-vis Tim.”4 

Given Cheney’s appraisal of his interview with Russert as a “remarkable moment” in both American history and Cheney’s own career, we should apply Russert’s method to this interview, reminding ourselves of exactly what Cheney said, then comparing it with what was said about Cheney by the 9/11 Commission.

Day 17 of Blair’s hunger strike for 9/11 Truth came and went with dozens of citizens stopping by to give Blair their thanks and appreciation for a selfless act dedicated to the Truth about 9/11.

Alex Jones interviewed Blair and Senator Johnson today as well as Mike Rivero of Whatreallyhappened.com and Jeff Farias from Nova M radio. Blair decided Day 17 would be his last day fasting for truth. His weight has dropped to 124 lbs from a normal of 155 lbs. Given the amount of press coverage, good or bad, generated from his hunger strike, the fantastic speech by Senator Johnson on the floor of the Arizona Senate and the apparent lack of concern by Senator McCain.

Blair has decided that 17 days was enough. What better day than the 11th of the month? He has asked the staff of Senator McCain to forward any response from him to Blair’s home address. What started out as an individual, sitting in a lawn chair, seeking a response from his elected representative in Washington D.C. ended with a positive response, not from the elected senator and not just from people in Phoenix, but from all over the world.

A political activist group is sending letters and DVDs to U.S. soldiers stationed in Iraq telling them 9/11 was an inside job

San Diego, CA — A group of over three thousand political activists are planning to send letters to soldiers stationed in Iraq telling them that America is largely to blame for the 9/11 attacks.

“We support the troops in their efforts to protect the Iraqi people, but want them to know the real reason they have put themselves in harms way,” explains Mark Dice, founder of The Resistance, a Christian media watch dog group based in San Diego.

Dice is urging people in his organization and others to write letters to soldiers in Iraq and explain the evidence that the 9/11 attacks were aided by corrupt U.S. officials for political purposes. According to a 2006 Scripts Howard News Service poll, 36 percent of Americans believe that elements within the U.S. government purposely allowed the attacks to happen, or aided the terrorists to ensure the attacks.

“I personally know U.S. Marines who believe 9/11 was an inside job, and they tell me that many Marines suspect that this is the case but are afraid to speak up out of fear of punishment,” says Dice.

“I don’t want the soldiers who are risking their lives in Iraq to be used as pawns in the creation of the New World Order.”

“We want U.S. troops to know that we care about them and are doing our best to make sure that they don’t have to risk their lives based on false pretenses,” concludes Dice.

Blair Gadsby, the 45-year-old former owner of an adult-care home and an adjunct professor of religious studies at a community college, never figured he would be the type of person to stage a hunger strike outside the Phoenix office of U.S. Sen. John McCain.

But about a year ago, Gadsby convinced himself that the U.S. government, not terrorists, demolished the World Trade Center buildings in New York on Sept. 11, 2001. And that belief has turned him into a fasting activist.

“I’ve never been politically active until the 9/11 subject came up,” he said, sitting on a fabric folding chair last week along 16th Street, outside the complex that houses McCain’s Phoenix office.

Gadsby’s vigil on the sidewalk goes from sunrise to sunset. He holds up a sign that features a Canadian tabloid’s front-page photo of a jet hitting one of the towers. Underneath is his count of the days he has been fasting. Today, it will be Day 15.

When Cynthia McKinney speaks the words of Martin Luther King Jr, they resound through the church with some of King’s cadence. “A time comes,” declares the former US congresswoman from Georgia, “when silence is betrayal.” The congregation answers with whoops and calls of “That’s right!” King was talking about America’s war in Vietnam. More than 40 years later, before the packed pews of the Immanuel Presbyterian Church in Los Angeles, McKinney is speaking of the American government’s war on its own people. The shock and awe phase of this conflict, we had been told earlier, began on September 11 2001, when the Bush administration launched attacks on New York and Washington, or at least waved them through.

According to a show of hands that February afternoon, several hundred people in the immaculate church believe this to be true. Some came in T-shirts bearing the words “9/11 was an inside job”. One wore a badge demanding that you “Examine your assumptions”. Quite a few bought the DVDs on sale in the foyer, most of which bore photographs of the Twin Towers spewing smoke. They had all come to hear the message of Architects, Engineers & Scientists for 9/11 Truth, one of the dozens of groups across the US which campaign to persuade us that everything we think we know about 9/11 is wrong.

Members of the Arizona truth movement meet for 45 minutes with John McCain’s Arizona state director, Paul Hickman.

Blair was asked to brief Mr. Hickman on what his Hunger Strike is all about. Blair clearly communicated that John McCain has endorsed and written the foreward to a Book called “Debunking 9/11 Myths”. Blair explained that it is his belief that John McCain either knows that 9/11 was an inside job, or that he has been lied to about the evidence supporting the 9/11 Commission Report. Blair stated that he wanted a 2 hour meeting commitment some time in the future to meet with John McCain to present our side’s questions to the issue of 9/11 Truth. Richard Gage has agreed to meet with Senator McCain on a moments notice.

The first video, regarding the whereabouts of Donald Rumsfeld on the morning of 9/11, reveals that Rumsfeld was in the Pentagon as the largest attack on U.S. soil since Pearl Harbor unfolded. In a startling admission on which he was never pressed, however, he states he was ‘out of the loop’ that morning and unaware of Flight 77—the hijacked jet streaking towards the heart of the American capital—until it actually hit the very building he was sitting in. In his well-researched article Donald Rumsfeld on 9/11: An Enemy Within Matthew Everett makes it clear how this startling revelation from the second in command of the U.S. Armed Forces goes well beyond mere incompetence. Rumsfeld’s inability to be contacted by his own staff during that crucial half hour as Flight 77 bore down on the Pentagon directly affected the Air Force’s ability to respond to that or any other threat that morning. As the video reveals, the protocol dealing with the very events which unfolded that day—namely, those dealing with the authorization to shootdown hijacked civilian aircraft—had been mysteriously revised mere weeks before 9/11. Nor can ‘Rummy’ claim ignorance of the high terror threat level in the U.S. at that time. In fact, as he revealed to Larry King in December of 2001, he was actually briefing members of Congress in a startlingly prescient talk on the likelihood of a large terror attack that would transform America in the very near future which began just minutes before the first plane hit the World Trade Center.

Blair Gadsby went to the doctor on this day of his hunger strike for 911 Truth. 11 days with out food and the doctor gave him a clean bill of health! Blair is committed to seeing this thing through and will not compromise his request of two hours of McCains time. Good weather permitting a plane is scheduled to toe a 35 foot banner on friday between 5pm and 7pm, a rally of the movement here in Phoenix has been set for that time in front of McCain’s office. The banner will read “Google Hunger Strike for 911 Truth” the plane will be over McCains office around 5pm for 15 to 20 minutes and then fly all over the valley. With the plane in the air now would be a good time to call local Radio and TV stations! Are you as hungry as we are?

An Arizona state senator is petitioning presumptive GOP presidential nominee John McCain to meet with 9/11 conspiracy theorists, including an adjunct professor from Scottsdale who has been fasting outside McCain’s Phoenix office for more than a week.

State Sen. Karen Johnson, a Mesa Republican, delivered a letter to McCain’s Senate office Tuesday asking that he sit down with Scottsdale activist Blair Gadsby and a pair of leading members of the 9/11 Truth Movement to consider alternative explanations for the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks and the collapse of the World Trade Center towers. Gadsby’s fast outside McCain’s Senate office entered its 10th day today.

“There are so many questions left unanswered,” said Johnson, who called for a new, independent investigation into the attacks.

She has previously been the focus of media attention for her vocal misgivings about the government account of 9/11. Again Tuesday, she said, “There’s no explanation - no legitimate explanation - about why those towers and Building 7 came down.”

WTC 7 was the third building to collapse at the complex, though it wasn’t directly struck by either aircraft.

Gadsby said he’ll maintain his office vigil until McCain pledges to sit down with him, Richard Gage, founder of Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth, and Steven Jones, a physicist who claims to have done laboratory analysis and found evidence of explosives in the WTC rubble. Their conditions: a pledge of two hours with McCain, plus national media coverage.

She explained to Howard Stern and crew that the collapse of building seven defied the laws of physics using a billiard ball analogy. She also recommended that Howard have William Rodriguez on his show to discuss his experiences that day and what he had heard BEFORE the planes ever hit the buildings. Howard actually agreed to interview him but I wouldn’t hold my breath. He’s notorious for changing his mind. We’ll see though. That would be huge I think.

2,973 humans died with the attacks of 9/11. “Bin Laden” and “Al Qaeda”, the Bush clan cried. The world believed themm. In the meantime even scientists doubt the Bush version. Now, Swiss university professors Albert A. Stahel and Daniele Ganser raise new questions.

“Something is not correct”, says strategy expert Stahel in “World Week”, and here he refers to the “incomplete” official US Government 9/11 Report of 2004.

The university professor confirms his criticism in BLICK: “Osama Bin Laden cannot be ‘the large godfather’ behind the attacks. He did not have enough means of communication”.

Dr. Stahel doubts that a passenger airliner crashed into the Pentagon: “For trainee pilots it is actually impossible to crash into the building so exactly. Seven hours after the Twin Towers collapsed, the World Trade Center Building 7 next to it also collapsed. The official version: It burned for a long time. Nothing at all is clear.”

Raising questions along with Stahel is historian Dr. Daniele Ganser, his colleague at the University of Zurich. Dr. Ganser also calls the official US version “a conspiracy theory”.

Hungry4Truth.comDay two of the First Ever Hunger Strike for 9/11 Truth was met by an enormous amount of activism.

The day began at 5am as Blair continued his visit to the office of John McCain. Meanwhile at 2pm in Mesa, President Bush arrived to speak to the Silverado Cable Co. The location of his speech was changed at the last minute due to lack of interest in the $25,000 a plate fundraiser for Presidential hopeful John McCain. Bush was greeted by 400 anti-war protesters and activists for 9/11 Truth.

The police state was in full effect as the police videotaped activists exercising their first amendment rights. At 4pm a larger anti-Bush/McCain protest formed in downtown Phoenix at City Hall, followed by a march through the streets of Phoenix. Fortunately Blair was able to speak with a local television station to make his case for 9/11 issues. It was obvious the media would not come to Blair, so we took Blair to the media. At 7pm we went back to McCain’s office and were joined by three members of Code Pink who gave Blair their support and well wishes. One member of Code Pink stated, “if you can’t support 9/11 Truth, what can you support?” Blair wants to thank everyone who has sent their support and kind thoughts to him.
