Nobel Prize-winning economist and Columbia University professor Joseph Stiglitz is considered one of today’s most distinguished and controversial economists, known for his work on asymmetric information and as a pioneer in the field of modern information economics and microeconomics. The former chairman of President Clinton’s Council of Economic Advisors, Stiglitz is also a prolific author, and his latest book, Selected Works of Joseph E. Stiglitz: Volume I: Information and Economic Analysis, is the first of six volumes that will provide a definitive collection of his most important work. Presented by the Town Hall Center for Civic Life, with University Book Store.
