Obviously none of us are going to want to pay to get into this thing. However, a presence outside/around this event could be great. Maybe if some of us are dressed appropriately a question or two could get answered and video taped.
Ray McGovern (see below) will be preaching at Trinity United Methodist at 10:30am, Sunday August 12th.
(6512 23rd Ave. NW Seattle 98117)
My guest will be Ray McGovern, a former CIA analyst. McGovern was an Intelligence Briefer for President Reagan from 1981-85 when he was in charge of preparing daily security briefs for the President, the Vice President, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Cabinet and National Security Advisor. Later, McGovern was one of several senior CIA analysts who prepared the President’s Daily Brief (PDB) for President George H.W. Bush.
Upon retirement, McGovern was awarded the Intelligence Commendation Medal from Bush (which he later returned, see below) and worked for Washington-based non-profits before becoming co-director of the Servant Leadership School in Washington. McGovern has become an outspoken critic of the current Bush administration, and together with other former CIA employees, founded the Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity or VIPS. The organization is dedicated to exposing what these former Intelligence professionals believe to be the mishandling of important intelligence, specifically relating to the War in Iraq.
Take part in our TruthAction that we do every 11th of every month. This month the 11th falls on a Saturday, so we won’t be bannering the morning commute, instead we’ll be downtown all day, and I’m working on which media organizations we’ll be protesting. Most likely, KOMO4, KING5, and The Seattle Times.
We’ll be starting at 10AM: Downtown at Pike Street Market, at 1st and Pike street. Bring signs and any 9/11 Truth materials you wish to share.
You can get a hold of me at any time througout the day: 206-778-8740
This month we were in downtown Seattle. We first bannered I-5 for the morning commute, and then moved on to Westlake, and then down to Pike Street Market.
John and Bob conducted street interviews, while the rest of us handed out flyers and dvds. In total we handed out over 1200 flyers and about 600 dvds.
Check it out:
WACS members John Karlos and Bob Brunner had the opportunity of meeting Norm Mineta. We were able to ask Mineta a few questions about his testimony before the 9/11 commission and the ommissions from the final report.
